Economic analysis of potato and tomato trade in Romania: The Gini coefficient

Potatoes and tomatoes are the key vegetables of Romanian agriculture, due to their consumption large growing areas. The paper analyses import export potatoes tomatoes, prices for these vegetables, while based on that Gini coefficient was calculated. According value coefficient, concentration potato is relatively low, considerably higher. A similar situation with tomato, as values indicate low related high export. Association foreign partners, farmer orientation quality certifications, investment in infrastructure efficient marketing some solutions can improve vegetable market.
